Casey's Birthday!

Monday, February 16th came up fast! Casey was not looking forward to this birthday. He is 25 now, making him a quarter centurian. I wanted to get him some 22 bullets for his new pistol, but with timing the way that it was I didn't get around to it. Instead I made his favorite cake, rainbow chip! We went to his parents for dinner and Missy, Rick, Bj, Janalee, and Nick were there to join the party. Sometime after dinner, songs for the wedding reception came up in conversation. So very loudly and all at once, everyone started naming their favorite songs and singing them. It was so fun and crazy at the same time! I had so many songs thrown at me all at once it will be tough to decide which ones to use.

Valentine's Day.. Kind of

Casey and I had talked about going snowboarding for valentines day! We thought it would be very romantic, but as it turns out, the lift tickets were super expensive that night. So we decided to go snowboarding the night before.. Bj was up there with all of the young men from his ward, so we met up with them to hang out for a little while. They were up there to complete some outdoor winter badge for their eagle scout. As horrible as it sounds, it was nice to be around a few beginner snowboarders. It made me feel like a decent snowboarder!

The things I wish Tami would do for me!

1. Rub my feet more often.
2. Fold my clothes atleast once.
3. Let me hold the remote control.
4. Rake the leaves.
5. Maybe mow the lawn everyonce and awhile or even pull weeds.
6. It would be nice if she cooked me a meal sometime without burning it, actually it would be nice if she ever cooked me a meal.
7. I would like to sleep in the same bed with her sometime, that would be nice.
8. I wish she wouldnt tell me to lose weight and get some rogain.
9. And finally I hope someday she can actually look me in the eyes and tell me she loves me.

Just jokin Tami! you rock! defiantly the opposite of this list.

I was so embarrassed!

Yesterday I was madly running about town trying to get wedding things done. My main project was to get the invitations/announcements done because so far they have been a nightmare and everything has gone wrong... whether they be cut wrong, the format off, or the pictures coming out blurry, it has been a bear trying to get them finished. In the midst of doing errands I decided to call my future mother-in-law, Bobbie, and talk to her about who will be coming to the temple for the endowment session on her side of the family. After we had most everything figured out I said, "Alright bye, thanks again Bob". I hung up the phone and couldn't believe that I had called her Bob. I debated for about a minute whether or not to call her back or text her saying that was an accident, but my mom insisted that Bobbie probably just thought I hung up before finishing her name. Instead I sent a text to Casey telling him what had happened and that I was embarrassed. To make matters worse, I realized I didn't send it to Casey, I sent it to Bobbie. She probably thinks I'm crazy. I couldn't stop laughing for the rest of the day! With that said, a good laugh helps the stress!

Casey's fun time with makeup

So, the other day we went to dinner at Missy and Ricks house and the girls wanted to put makeup on Casey. He kept telling Madison that he didn't want her to do it no matter how persistant she was.... so of course he said "I'll do it, because I can put on makeup better than any of you!" With that said he began vigorously applying the lipstick, mascara, and eye shadow all over his face. Truth be known he has let girls put makeup on him a few times before.... I think its closet obession, but it keeps us entertained! He looks so beautiful... angelic even.

We Say, Hello to the Blogging World

So, Hopefully I will get the hang of this but I just thought it would be so cool to have a blog and do the 'journal' thing. And I know Im weird because I haven't waited until Casey and I are married to start it up, but I wanted to be able to journal about the engagement process... something that all married couples go through: unless they elope, which was a consideration at some point in time. Just kidding. I hadn't thought of eloping! (casey did) But that is besides the point.
